This scheme consists of 59 affordable dwellings comprising 19 houses, 24 flats for rent and 16 new build Home-Buy units. The land for this development was purchased from the London Borough of Brent which was previously used as public open space, but was poorly used and considered unsafe by the local community.
It is located in the North East boundary of the existing Church End estate, and positioned between the primary school and a railway line with a medical centre and cemetery on either side.
The Scheme
The site was developed for Fortunegate Community Housing providing much needed large family homes in the area. Mayo Road redevelopment will also enhance the amenity space for new and existing Church End residents by enabling the creation of a new park and Multiple Use Games Area (MUGA) which will benefit the local community.
